About Us

Who we are

We are a young company, founded in Freiburg in 2018. Our team of seven people have backgrounds in varying disciplines and complement each other well through their knowledge and experience in differing fields.

Our skills

We have sound species knowledge (especially regarding bats and birds) and comprehensive skills in the area of R-based programming for data evaluation and visualisation.

Our motivation

We are interested in carrying out research on ecological relationships in an innovative way, with the goal of practically applying the results of our research.

Our Services

Data collection

We are familiar with classical monitoring methods for birds and bats from our years of experience monitoring these species groups in the field. Based on this knowledge and experience we have developed Raspberry Pi-based recording devices, which can be implememented to collect data to assess various different ecological questions.

Data analysis

We evaluate data sets using an R-based approach and develop automated analysis procedures (including machine learning). Using such methods we are able to analyse vast amounts of data.

Data visualisation

We visualise complex data using interactive R shiny web apps and other tools.
